Two alleged drug smugglers were killed in a military strike in the Eastern Pacific Ocean, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said Wednesday, part of the Pentagon's counter-narcotics campaign.
The US military has increased its strikes on vessels suspected of drug trafficking, conducting its 10th attack, which resulted in six deaths. The recent operations are linked to the Tren de Aragua gang.
Hegseth said Friday that the U.S. struck a boat allegedly carrying drugs in the Caribbean Sea, marking at least the third time this week that the U.S. has attacked a vessel it says was involved in drug trafficking.
